1999 sees NCCC and the English Cricket Board joining together to host the world Carnival of Cricket at the County Ground. Acting as home to the current World Champions, Sri Lanka, NCCC will play a major part in one of the biggest sporting occasions ever held in this country. The newly transformed County Ground now has a new indoor cricket centre as well as offering corporate and hospitality facilities.

Silverstone Circuit, Silverstone

Silverstone Circuit, Near Towcester, Northants.

The traditional home of British Motor Racing, Silverstone Circuit is owned by the British Racing Drivers Club, with all profits going back into the Circuit and its facilities. In 1998 Silverstone celebrated its 50th year as a world class race circuit and home to the British Grand Prix.

In addition to the British Grand Prix, Silverstone also hosts Coys International Historic Festival, the Auto Trader British Touring Car Championship, Formula 3, International GTs and World Rallying. The Silverstone Driving Centre, situated within the 800 acre site, offers the opportunity for budding racing drivers to try their skills at karts, 4 x 4 vehicles, rally cars, single seaters and the Lotus Elise experience.

Towcester Racecourse

Acknowledged to be one of the toughest National Hunt Courses in the country, Towcester has racing on many days during 1999.
